The Adventures of Cristina in Nueva York

My favorite art piece of all time

I’m sitting against the wall, bare legs crossed touching the cold floor, room lit by the images of 15 different lips projected against the white wall, all humming the same ballad. I’m sitting mesmerized, studying every one.

Lorna Simpson’s “Easy to Remember,” is easily my favorite art piece to date. I instantly fell in love with it. Captivating, breathtaking, unique. For a piece to keep me on the floor at the MOMA in LA for a whole 30 minutes, STUCK, says a lot.
